Thailand food company Hi-Q Food Products plans to focus more on ready-to-eat meals and tomato sauce, as a part of its strategy to boost domestic sales to THB2bn ($63.19m) over the next three years.
Hi-Q Food is primarily involved in the production canned fish products under Roza and Hi-Q brand name. However, it does not plan to expand its canned fish business in the future.
The company plans to invest THB50m ($1.57m) to expand manufacturing plants of its read-to-eat products in 2013. It is in the process of finding partners for international distribution, the Bangkok Post reported.
Marketing director Suwit Wangpattanamongkol said the company will use its Roza ready-to-eat product in retort pouch packages as a flagship product to penetrate the US and European markets.
The company boosted its Roza sauce business through its industrial channels. It plans to maintain its tomato sauce price in order to attract industrial clients.
